Brian Lemesh, DC has been helping patients since 1998. He is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, CA and comes from a family of Chiropractors and healthcare providers. As a California Board Certified Chiropractor he receives ongoing training in Chiropractic and other healing arts techniques such as Craniosacral.
His soulful approach to patient care is based on a solid foundation of traditional Chiropractic science, art (technique) and philosophy, while also integrating manual therapy/soft tissue/fascia work, posture correction and Craniosacral work (a form of technical energy work birthed from the field of Osteopathy). His work embodies excellent technical skills, heartfelt patient connection and the art of creating an environment for deeper levels of healing to occur. In addition, Dr. Lemesh aims at inspiring patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle while also becoming more aware of their body. Dr. Lemesh has developed a unique combination of techniques that adds additional healing benefits to the foundations of Chiropractic. His approach is to work on three different levels in the body. Firstly, his Chiropractic care is customized with techniques and a care program that best fits the patient vs. a one size fits all approach. Secondly, he has found that patients integrate or "hold" their adjustments much better and have a better chance to break out of chronic pain cycles when the muscles, joint capsules and fascia are worked with during the course of care. This aspect of care often also calls for specific exercises to be prescribed in order to aid with developing healthy posture and/or to strengthen weak muscles. Thirdly, Dr. Lemesh has observed that for some patients, longer sessions that integrate Craniosacral work, can take healing to the next level by allowing subtle blocked energy patterns to be released in the body. It is not uncommon for patients receiving this type of extremely gentle work to experience both physical and emotional shifts. In fact, working with patients in this way naturally lends itself to addressing what D.D. Palmer, the founder of Chiropractic in 1895, called "auto-suggestion" as being the biggest cause of spinal dysfunction (subluxation). In modern terms this can be referred to as a component of the mind-body connection to dis-ease. Dr. Lemesh also draws from years of experience in the following areas: Lakota Inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies, Vipassana meditation, Yoga, swimming, carpentry, the great outdoors, rock climbing, professional musicianship (guitar, bass, Afro-cuban percussion & a variety of world music instruments), self-development & healing work, Aikido, Jungian psychology and Mythopoetic Mens' work. |
